Take Care of You, Too: Strengthening Emotional Capacity for Sustainable Leadership
Presented By
Terah Henderson

Session Description
HR leaders spend their careers taking care of people, protecting workplace culture, navigating challenges, and supporting the success of others. But who is creating space for the people who are always creating space for everyone else?
In today's workplace, success requires more than strong goals, strategic plans, and organizational initiatives. Sustainable leadership requires emotional capacity: the ability to manage responsibility, change, expectations, and personal well-being without operating from depletion.
In this engaging and reflective session, Dr. Terah invites HR professionals to move beyond simply doing more and explore how to lead from a place of greater awareness, intention, and sustainability.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify personal and professional demands impacting their emotional capacity.
- Recognize patterns that contribute to overwhelm, stalled progress, and burnout.
- Develop intentional strategies to strengthen well-being while continuing to lead and support others effectively.
