Session Description

Human Resources has always operated at the intersection of the company and the employee. In order for HR to be most effective, we have to have the trust of both. If the company doesn't trust us, we won't be involved in important decisions. If employees don't trust us, they won't bring their ideas and concerns to us.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

• Examine the origins of the trust deficit;
• Understand the role HR plays in the organization as it relates to the filling of this trust deficit; and,
• Identify specific strategies HR can use to build trust in the organization.

About the Speaker

Jason Lawson is an accomplished 30-year HR professional. He has spent his career in both publicly traded and privately held companies. Most recently he has served as the Vice President for Human Resources at Installed Building Products, the CHRO for Dycom Industries and, currently, as the VP for Human Resources for Anomatic, Inc.

Jason is an active member of SHRM both nationally and locally serving as the Chairperson for the OH HR Conference in 2023.
