Session Description
Employees are not interchangeable parts - they are people with unique strengths, motivations, and needs. Yet organizations often make decisions based on the collective, ignoring individual dynamics. Today, we will explore how leaders can balance individual leadership with strategic alignment.

- Explain how traditional organizational decision making can unintentionally overlook individuality.
- Identify strategies leaders can use to acknowledge individual differences while upholding strategic priorities.
About the Speaker
As Director of Human Resources, Katrina is responsible for originating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, accountability, and the retention and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the Company's strategic goals.
Katrina boasts extensive HR knowledge gained from diverse roles, including healthcare, telecommunications, banking, manufacturing, and consulting. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Waynesburg University and a Master's in Management from High Point University.
In addition, she holds several professional certifications, including the Society for Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
Katrina currently serves on the YWCA board of Greensboro and is the Chief Administrator for New Birth Community AME Church. She is the current MAC rep for SHRM Southeast.
