    3. Finally, participants in this session will have a greater understanding of how to measure the success or failure of the change process. In addition, they will learn how to recognize the need for mid-course adjustments and adapt the change process to meet the company goals and objectives.

Session Description:

I hate change! What’s wrong with the old way? But we’ve always done it this way? Fundamentally, many people are resistant to change, however change happens. In fact, it must happen if we are to continue succeeding. It’s said that once you get on the right track, if you don’t move, eventually you will be run over by the next train. We have also heard that even a broken clock is right twice a day… but do you realize it is wrong the other 1,438 minutes each day?

Since change is inevitable, what can we do about it? The HR function is in a unique position to know not only what is changing but can influence how the change is made. This can be accomplished by ensuring HR professional 1) understand how the business operates, 2) contributes to the strategic planning processes, and 3) takes the lead in tying together the technical and human elements of change management. In the end, the goal is to help employees and stakeholders cope with the change process and learn to anticipate and embrace the change.
